TANBAN was founded from a love of the rhythm and beauty of Indian hand block printing-the carved wooden blocks, the thoughtful process, and the perfectly imperfect marks that make every print unique.

Created to share this craft in Japan and keep its stories close to its roots, TANBAN has grown into more than a place to discover handmade textiles. Its workshops bring people together through printing, curious questions, and conversations about India, travel, and life in Japan.
