I was born in 1988 in a small North Indian town marked by political tension and the shadows of war. Growing up there gave me a deep, unyielding strength to stand tall, protect my roots, and express myself openly. Moving to Osaka in 2019 with no Japanese language ability, I found myself completely isolated by words. In that silent space, art became my voice and my essential tool of communication - the bridge I used to connect, find my ground, and build a sense of home.
This threshold is deeply braided into my motherhood: with my first son born in India and my second in Japan, my heart balances across two geographies, carrying the warmth of family into public air and bringing the world safely back home.
“My process exists in this very same ‘in-between.’ On the canvas, I seek an equilibrium between the raw, unjudged freedom of abstract mark-making and the rigorous details of realism. This material journey directly mirrors the seasons of my motherhood: relying on immediate, fast-drying acrylics when my children were small and studio hours were fleeting, and transitioning naturally into slow, meditative layers of oil painting as they grow. This organicnight softly blur. evolution has turned my practice into a living reflection of my own pace, deepening my creative confidence.”
